The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a permanent resident category for individuals who had already established themselves as skilled workers in Canada. The CEC program opens the door to Canada for foreign students and foreign workers. For many international graduates, Canadian Experience Class may be the fastest option for achieving Canadian permanent residence. One of the objectives of the CEC is to increase the supply of skilled workers in Canada. Please note that any work experience acquired in Canada without valid work authorization will not be considered. Self-employment and work experience gained while you were a full-time student (such as on a co-op work term) doesn’t count under this program. CEC application will take some time to process. If you are currently working in Canada and you have applied for permanent residence under CEC class, you may be eligible for a bridging open work permit if your work permit will expire in four months or less. This means you can keep working while IRCC makes a decision on your permanent resident application.

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Most territories and provinces in Canada Can Nominate immigrants in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). These Immigrants must live and work in the province for a few years as each province has its eligibility criteria for the program. While some Provinces may design their program to attract students and business people, others may target skilled or semi- skilled workers. Some provinces also run with Express Entry Programs. To migrate to Canada Via the PNP the applicant must first apply for a nomination to the desired province. Once nominated , they may then apply for permanent residency.Recognizing the specific requirements of Canadian provinces and territories for the workforce and recognizing a significant discrepancy in the demand and supply of skill, the Ministry of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada enabled various provinces and territories to recruit participants who are willing to take part in settling in a particular province/territory and who are skilful of promoting the economic development of that province/territory. If you receive a provincial nomination, your proposal for a Canadian immigration visa will indeed be processed quickly, as well as your possibilities of obtaining a permanent residence visa will increase dramatically.
